WHY ARE WE PRIVATE PAY?
Our goal is to provide private treatments that focus solely on YOU and your needs.
Due to increasing restrictions placed by insurance companies, patients are receiving less individual care and are often seen in a multi-patient environment. Patients receive less one-on-one time with their therapist and are often discharged before reaching their goals.
These restrictions do not exist at Empower PT.
We teach you movement freedom through individual attention with a hands-on approach. Empower wants to be your personal physical therapist, movement advocate, and cheerleader for reaching your health goals. This is done as we are not restricted to one body part, diagnosis, or number of sessions.
Although we are not in-network with any healthcare insurance, we are able to provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. This is a receipt with all of the information that your insurance company requires for an insurance claim.
Depending on your insurance plan, submitting a superbill may enable you to receive reimbursement from your insurance company based on your out-of-network benefits. Please contact your insurance company directly to receive details on your benefits.
In addition, Empower PT does accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards.

We are located in a blue strip building off of Armenia and slightly north of Swann. Look for a small entrance north of the building with free parking along the building. If there is no parking along the building you may use street parking on Armenia or on the street past the parking lot.

Empower PT accepts cash, check, and card payments. If you choose to pay with a debit or credit card there will be a 2.6% service charge applied to your total payment. If you would like to avoid this service charge we recommend paying with cash or check.

Yes. You may use the HSA and FSA for physical therapy. FSA can be used for physical therapy, private training, or pilates.

We do provide filtered water and cups, and bottled water is available upon request. Due to COVID-19 safety measures we recommend bringing your own water bottle.

If you are running late we ask that you contact us via text through our business line, (813) 508-2553. If you must cancel, please know that all cancellations made within 24 hours will result in the cost of the appointment or loss of an appointment from your package.
All clients receive one free late cancellation for all Empower services.

Be comfortable! For all services, we recommend clothes that you are able to move in, i.e. leggings, shorts, and/or sweatpants. For footwear: Physical Therapy – Your normal walking shoes Private/Group Training – Tennis shoes/Sneakers Pilates – Pilates socks/Toe socks/Barefoot

Yes, all services have an intake form that must be completed. The link to the form can be found within your confirmation email from our scheduling program, Acuity Scheduling. If you do not complete your intake form prior to arrival, please arrive 5 minutes early to allow for optimal evaluation and service time.
